The Answers You Need
HOW DOES AN ESTIMATE WORK?
-
We will stop by your property, walk the perimeter, take basic photos and count the glass panes
-
We will then follow up with an emailed bid within 1-2 business days
-
It is not necessary to be onsite during this process. A business card will be left behind to notify that we have stopped in
ARE YOU INSURED?
-
Absolutely, we are locally insured with liability and workman's compensation coverage
-
Please feel free to request a copy of insurance (COI) to be emailed at any point
DO YOU CLEAN SCREENS, SILLS AND FRAMES?
-
Screens, if cleaned are mopped down with a formulated screen cleaning and sealing solution, then hand dried to avoid damage. The cleaning, removal and reinstallation of screens can be added to any scheduled window cleaning (fees apply).
-
Sills, at Craggs Window Cleaning we pride ourselves on cleaning the entire window not just the glass. Along with your clean we will wipe, brush, and or vacuum based on sill type to guarantee clean sills.
-
Frames, treated similarly to sills. All frames will be wiped down to remove spider webs, accumulated dirt and grime.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE WE ARRIVE?
It is our intention to treat your property with the utmost respect and to mitigate any potential hazards.
It is required to remove all objects and furniture a minimum of 3 feet away from all windows to ensure technician access. Inaccessible windows will be removed from invoices. An additional 25% Obstacle Fee will be invoiced if technicians are required to move furniture or décor.
We will not move large appliances, pianos or other large-scale furniture that could potentially damage floor surfaces.
We may request owner or representative assistance with particular fragile items such as glass, art, or other delicate pieces that are easily damaged.

We will happily lock up the residence or business when we leave
WHY ARE MY WINDOWS STILL WET AND NOT SQUEEGEED DRY?
This pertains to our water-fed pole system. Yes, this tool is absolutely an industry game changer. It is 100% effective when used properly.
-
When cleaning with a water-fed pole we use a carbon fiber extension pole with a brush attached to the end of the pole.
-
This brush is used to scrub and agitate the dirt and grime off of the window.
-
Once scrubbed, the pole system uses filtered water through pencil jet sprayers to rinse the window clean.
-
Your window is now wet and will remain wet on the exterior until it air dries clear.
-
This is accomplished because the water used to rinse the window is filtered to a level of 0-6 parts per million on a "total dissolved solids"(TDS) reading device.
-
Your unfiltered tap water will generally range between 150-400 parts per million in the Northern Michigan area.
-
This explains why it is not a good idea to wash your windows with a garden hose and why you should consider getting your windows cleaned after having your house power washed, soft washed or sprayed for insects.
-
Does this mean that Craggs Window Cleaning cleans every job with a water-fed pole? No, it is simply a tool in the toolbox for jobs that require it. We primarily focus on traditional cleaning methods but we like to be prepared when facing houses and buildings that cannot be accomplished with traditional tools.
